Not every window well job is a straightforward dig-and-drop. Some are tucked under decks with barely enough room to work. Some are crammed next to AC units. Some are behind soffits or up against patios. That's just the reality of working on homes that were built without window wells in mind - and it's exactly the kind of work we do every day.
What we're showing here is the range. Corrugated steel wells sized for tight access. Wells with proper gravel drainage at the bottom. Egress-sized wells with escape ladders installed. Clear polycarbonate covers fitted over finished wells. Even full egress door openings with concrete stair surrounds built from scratch. Every situation is different, and we adapt to what the house actually needs.
A big part of doing this right is the drainage. Gravel packed into the floor of a well keeps water from pooling against your foundation and window frame. When wells fill with water and debris, they become a direct path for moisture into your basement. We make sure every well we install has that base drainage layer done correctly before we're done.
Covers matter too. A good window well cover keeps leaves, debris, and water out while still letting light through and - critically - still allowing emergency egress if it's needed. We handle covers as part of the full job, not as an afterthought. Whether it's a standard well cover or a clear dome fitted to a custom shape, we make sure it fits right and functions the way it's supposed to.
If you've got a well that's rusting out, one that floods every time it rains, or you're looking at adding an egress window to a basement bedroom, we're glad to take a look. Tough access doesn't slow us down - it's kind of our thing.
