Most basements are stuck with tiny, dark windows that barely let in light - and zero safe exit options. That's exactly the kind of situation we fix. Here's what we were working with on this one: no proper egress, no clean exterior finish, and a basement that needed to meet code while actually looking good from the outside.
We installed new egress window wells and cut in a full staircase walkout. The walkout exit features a clean door with a fan-lite window up top, framed by dark brick tile on both sides, and flanked by poured concrete stairs with a solid retaining surround. It's not just functional - it's a real architectural upgrade on the side of the house. The kind of thing that adds value you can actually see.
The window wells themselves were done right. Each one got properly sized corrugated steel wells anchored flush to the foundation, gravel bed drainage at the bottom, and built-in escape ladders so there's always a way out in an emergency. We also fit one of the wells with a clear bubble cover - those are a huge deal for keeping debris and water out while still letting natural light pour in. Clean installs all the way around.
The exterior work tied everything together. Rock landscaping was laid around the wells, pavers were set along the walkout area, and the whole perimeter was finished so it looks intentional - not like someone just dug a hole and called it done. That's the difference between a functional install and one that actually adds curb appeal. We take both seriously.
Whether you need a single window well swapped out, a full egress system cut in, or the whole exterior area cleaned up with rock and pavers after the work is done - we handle all of it. No subbing out the finish work. No half-done jobs. Just a complete install from start to finish.
